Glencore Freezes Dan Gertler In DRC

“The injunction forbids Gertler from taking any steps in his legal action against the KCC mine, the FT said.”

That means Dan Gertler cannot do anything in DRC against KCC mine, otherwise Glencore can sue Gertler for big loss and win in the London Court.

Gertler is simply providing cover for Kabila. Do you really think some court in London is going to scare Kabila from taking what he wants?

It is sufficient to scare Dan Gertler who will face big loss he cannot afford to lose if he dares to do anything in DRC to against the Court Injunction. After all Dan is the person who launched the lawsuit against KCC. Kabila is not directly involved in this case.

Hey @Potash1968. You are very clear in what you think. But it doesn't make it fact. And I think you are dead wrong. Here is why: Personally, I don't support some supposition(s) on this BB that determine (maybe by influence of posts like yours?) that local DRC/Katanga Provincial/Kinshasa courts can userp the UK Law that controls Private Royalty Contracts written up and agreed in London ...more
