Q2 Report
I had previously earning estimate of 10 cents per share from operation for Q2 if one time charges from settlement with Gecamines were not included. The KAT actual earning results are really dependent on the financial treatment of the one time charges in the KCC, which may or may not affect KAT earning report. We should know in 24 hours.

10 cents is too high...the time incremental charge was paid by Glencore (this increasing the debt on KAT by that much). Also I'm predicting 4 cents per share this quarter with overall fiscal year of 13 cents per share.

Is the wider net loss due to the settlements with Gecamines? I would assume this is the case?

That is what I am wondering too, but since it is a one time payment, there isn't much to worry about. On the bright side, Katanga is proving once again they execute operationally.

Yes, I think so too but would like to see it in the full report. Is not yet on SEDAR though!

Yes its due to the 1.4 Billion net loss attributed to equity that resulted from the KCC recap
