You never have been good at meaning. In your parlancd the wording would be: The business folks failed miserably to successfully capitalize on the brilliance of the engineers. Jealously seems a base and stupid way to try to characterize it. Lack of understanding, lack of passion... an abundance of greed moving Ghezzhole to overprice it... who knows.
