FOR SALE: PLACER DOME
FOR SALE: PLACER DOMEMy girlfriend works for Placer Dome in downtown Vancouver and she says that meetings for the sale of the company have intensified over the last two weeks. She can't say which companies want to acquire PDG but thinks I should buy some and wait a month or so. I don't usually buy such expensive stocks but if she's right I could borrow the money and pay it back quickly. You guys seem to know this stock. Is it a safe bet at these prices? I bought a little in my RRSP but she thinks I should beg, borrow or steal to get as much as I can. I'm worried about buying on credit but she is so convincing. Any advice?
