Nothing wrong with the deposit. The deposit is first class.

The problem is in how you get the deposit off of Lumina's claim.

If BHP buys Lumina the same problem will exist because BHP does not have a claim that will resolve the issue. Neither does Teck although Teck has the better adjacent claim of the two.

Hence why a deal needs to be made before Lumina can be taken over.

Lumina will never get a fair bid for its shareholders until that issue is resolved. Hence why Lumina's approach to BHP puts the cart before the horse.
