The bounce today . . . a question for those here

I was at my computer until about 2 pm on the east coast today.  Longview Oil shares were doing nothing, unchanged @ 6.01 as I recall.  Now I see that they traded on an intraday basis as high as 6.70 and closed @ 6.30.  So the tuned-in folks here may have some insight.  I am always happy to trade insight for insight, so I mention that Whitecap Resources (WCP) made its initial dividend annoucement last week.   I think the plan at WCP is also $0.05 per month.  I was first drawn to WCP because it is a meaningful equity position in a closed-end bond fund that I have watched from time to time.

Good luck to all.

Robert

Saw the same thing.  I actually sold my shares earlier in the day at $6.00, only to see it hit a high of $6.70 and close at $6:30?   It was flatlining the entire day, right until the very last minute of trading - trust me, I watched closely.  What the heck happened?

You must be a very honest individual.  People on these boards are inclined (in my experience) to suggest that their trades were the most advantageous of the day.  Your post tells me that you tell it as it is.   I have had occasions when I have made sales at the highs of the day, but I have had the opposite experience too.  It hurts, but only for a day or two, right? & ...more

Been watching too.  Ask has consistently been overwhelming Bids.  It changed yesterday -- will take a few days to no for sure.  So little volume all it takes is one fundy to put the wind in LNV's sales (as it were).   Will buy then -- is cheap no question.
