An especially concentrated bet can be made via the $240 million Market Vectors Coal ETF (KOL). This portfolio of 34 stocks slumped 21% last year after losing 30% the year before, but it has proved resilient in a post-crisis environment. The ETF was up 149% in 2009 and nearly 32% in 2010. '
