I was reading though the message boards today and saw this....   I must say that you have your assumption exactly backwards. They are reducing the tax because their supply is adequate. The tax is imposed to encourage producers to sell their coal locally and not to other provinces when supplies are tight. This ensures a adequate supply in the province. Yep, you are right though I wish it were otherwise.  Race against and Chinese stock Analyst are bashers and are dishonest despite what they say and I have them on ignore.  The tax was specifically imposed in order to make it more expensive for exports to ship the Guizhou cola out of the province.  They did this over a year ago (I don't rmember the exact timing).  They are ...more

"Guizhou itself I believe that the supply/demand is fairly well balanced."   Maybe NOW it is, but it has not been historically, which is what this article states word for word, and that is my point. LLEN has said previously (not currently) that supply is tight in Guizho, and this article backs up that claim/ gives LLEN more credibility.         ...more

Perhaps my subject line was misleading.  My point is that LLEN has for some time maintained that supplies were tight in the past in Guizho.  This is the first third party evidence I've seen that corroborates that claim, and that gives LLEN more credibility in my eyes. Others have said they've never been able to prove that claim of LLEN's was accurate.  I just ...more

I'm afraid I was not very clear in my first post.  I wasn't trying to say supplies are tight now, (obviously they're not, or they would still have the tax on shipments out of the province) , that is understood. The point of my post is that for some time LLEN had stated that coal supplies had been tighter in Guizhou Province than elsewhere- and this small aitricle ...more
