What It Will Take For Coal To Make A Comeback

Cramer:

https://seekingalpha.com/article/964261-cramer-s-mad-money-what-it-will-take-for-coal-to-make-a-comeback-10-30-12

'It may seem incredible, but the charts are saying that coal could rebound. .....Cramer thinks that, with China possibly coming back, the decline of nuclear power, higher natural gas prices and a possible Romney victory, coal could be a buy. However, if President Obama is re-elected, the FDA could damage coal companies. Cramer thinks whether to buy or stay away from coal will be determined by who wins the election.'

(Don't shoot the messenger; it's a slow 'coal news' day out there.)

Boo-whaaaah!   DC: The reprint isn't my opinion...just a reprint of a coal-related article.  I think coal gets a pop if R wins (I don't think he does though,) but it will be short-lived...good for a 'fast trade' maybe.  The die has been cast and I doubt that the US will have any significant resurgence of coal...at least as long as natgas is competitively priced ...more

I agree with Cramer on this one.  Presidentilal influence on the EPA has been very big over the years and I believe it will continue to be so - especially if Romney should win.  He is backed heavily by coal.
