Shorts stepping up attacks on LLEN(yahoo)

Something is about to happen, good or bad,( LLEN needs to take this private,) as there in no sense in trading or using shares as the SP continues to decline, this(They can't buy anything with no capitalization SP, and why no loans or revolvers) has been the norm for small cap chinese stocks, and they dwell around a buck,  never to rise again, very few have made it back to the good graces of Wall street's machine. Where is the venture capital that has been on the sidelines?

Unfortunately for us, I can't even see the long term here, just a dead issue. But as I have said all along, this thing may flame out, the cheaper it gets, the less the company does. Are they in cahoots with the shorts, to say it is not possible means you are blind to the world of scams hitting anyone with a dollar.

Down 1100% since Greenburg's smackdown...sorry if this peesses you guys off, but some of you are starting to come around. still holding a few thousand shares.

Hang in there race.  This  stock will come around with good reports and furthur good news to come.  I can feel your frustration with the shorts but according to Nasdaq the shorts have dropped significantly this past year although lately has been steady. I feel the addition of Dr. Peng will help this company significantly and it will turn around. I have followed this stock for years ...more

Yes it has been tough, now with the market rise the shorts have all shifted to a coal beat down, they say Feb is the best month for sleeping, maybe we should sleep until March...and hope something changes. But you know what they say about trading on HOPE, it is always a dissapointment. Come on Spring Training... really had the urge to move to Florida. I feel we are in the Overtime Period, now we ...more

I don't see Lee stepping out as pres with 6 million shares.  I do think his bumbling in and out of various mines has hurt.  I think that he figured out that he needed some additional expertise in this business and the additions in management are beginning to make a difference.  I feel sure that Randy McMillion (former VP of operationa at ANR was one of Syd's students at WVU. ...more

What market are you referring to when you say "market correction" between now and March?  It seems to me the coal market has pretty much already "corrected".
Comment by raceagainstthestorm on Feb 10, 2013 12:12pm
China is planning to close roughly 5,000 small coal mines in 2013 in its drive to improve safety in the mines, the official state news agency Xinhua reports, citing China's State Administration of Work Safety. China – the globe's number one importer and producer of coal – has told producers to complete the installation of emergency systems in all mines by the end of June. Last year China ...more

DOW and NASDQ  a healthy correction is coming before the next rise in the markets. Even though the coal market is in a down turn, corrections still take the beaten down, down further...

And this correction is going to happen when and how much will the S and P and DOW fall?
Comment by brotherM1 on Feb 10, 2013 1:37pm
Wow again!  Consolidation appears will certainly be happening this year.  I'm betting we will see leveraged commercial financing to help swoop up on the litteral myriad of fire sales this year.  Let's get a handful in Shaanxi, a handful in IM, and then send some cash back to to Guizhou for a few more to balance out the portfolio.  https ...more

My thoughts are 13100 and 1450  and it will all be wrapted up in the gov't media event(The Sequester), of course.. next 16 days. https://video.cnbc.com/gallery/?video=3000146364&__source=yahoo%7Cheadline%7Cquote%7Cvideo%7C&par=yahoo

Easy on the pumping please.  It gets tiresome after a while (year or more).  Sure, everyone is just going to give Dr. Lee all their assets for promises.  And I'm sure that no one else will be bidding.  We will see.
Comment by brotherM1 on Feb 11, 2013 1:37pm
Well Bar it seems to me L and L's main strategy all along has been to wait for the most propitious time to buy mines (when others were forced to close due to lack of funds to upgrade) while growing and strengthening the company's income and balance sheet.   Mr. Yang who worked with forced consolidations up north talked about this.  June 2013 seems to have been ...more

Yes, more mine purchases are likely, just limited in size and scope if for no other reason than lack of capital and operational abilities.  And yes, Llen has a real line with the big 4 Commerce Bank which is very important.  I'm not sure when you got involved with Lllen, but Ping Yi was a complete disaster with almost no output due to gas problem closing.  I am just not sure how ...more

And since you have now gotten me started, (Sorry DC and Sharpei), but in rellation to Ping Yi, not only was it a complete disaster, but it was also an example of the total lack of operational capabilities that existed at that time ( due mostly to the hubris of Dr. Lee), and in addition, the company was so opaque about what was occurring at the time that they came very close to what can only be ...more

Thanks for the support.  As the wise man, Santayana said,"Those who can not rmember the past are condemned to repeat it."  I will stop rehashing now, too painful for us all. Lol

I'm more than comfortable going to IM, to say the least.  Jingcai Yang was chairman and CEO of Shengdon, the backbone of Shenhua,  after he was the chief mining engineer for Shenhua.  Shenhua is simply the largest coal producing company in the world.  Shenhua is a state owned enterprise.  I have no doubts this man is seriously connected to the powers that be.
