v.LK's time to move up... v.AEX is up 60 % on merger news Alpha Exploration Inc. (TSX: V.AEX, Stock Forum) jumped 60% to 4 cents Thursday after the company unveiled terms of a proposed merger with Lakeland Resources Inc. (TSX: V.LK, Stock Forum). Lakeland shares rose 17% on the news to 3.5 cents before closing unchanged at 3 cents.

The aim is to create a well-funded uranium exploration company that will pursue exploration targets in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin, Alpha said in a press release.
