RE:WesdomeInvesting in a miner requires two things: grade and financing appropriate for the grade. Wesdome financed their own mining expansion when they were already self-sustaining. If PGM had free cash flow then they could drill out their mine and pull a Wesdome (if the resource is there).
However, they don't have FCF, they are unprofitable at 1900/oz gold. That puts them at the mercy of the market.
