PBN management
PBN management
IT was like this... they (management) were operating a hot dog stand... and through hard work and perseverance... saved their money... and then... someone said to them... YOU folks make a great hot dog.. How about I give you MORE money and you guys can open a great restaurant... who would say no to that??? So... they get the money... and find a great location (SK Bakken)...and the HOT dog stand is now a burger joint...BUT to maximize their profits... they decide to take out their nearest competitor with the money they were saving (Tristar)... smart... NOW everyone for blocks around is coming to them for their burgers and fries... BUT wait... they still have a few bucks left... so they decide to open a second location (Cardium) and at the same time switch from Burgers and fries to the Chi-chi-poo-poo upscale French Fusion with fine wine, good china, and linen table cloths and napkins...(purchase of Berens et al) So... NOW the folks the HOT dog vendor hired to run the burger joint... are NOW trying to manage and supervise a Chef, Sous Chef, Maitre'd, waiters, Bussers...Somliers, they need to find upscale suppliers for everything... and WOW how overwhelmming is that? one day.. your in the back unloading paper napkins and wiping down tables... the next you have some guy wandering around in clogs and kitchen whites wearing a tall hat in a BIG fancy kitchen telling you that you need to BUY $10K in kitchen Knives...and another 20 K in pots and pans... So.. now you begin to think that maybe this guy wants MY job... after all he probably knows MORE about My job than I do... I better get rid of him and find someone NOT quite as smart as this fella... and so... the quality of the staff... starts to diminish.. because the GUY that was a great hot dog vendor is NOW so intimidated... that he's too busy keeping his job to do HIS job...
PBN managment has been on a long hard upward slope as far as learning curves go...THEY are nearing the top...and as much as the executive has illustrated their loyalty to the folks that were with them at the start and a snoble as that may be...the current SP says it's time to dump the hot dog vendors the burger flippers the cashiers and put some folks in place that KNOW how to run that fancy restaurant...
It's MY opinion git yer own.
