It's not about the price of oil right now. It's a battle for market share, once OPEC nations win the battle for market share prices will gradually climb back to the cost of production. It may take until 2017 for oil to get back to $55-60 WTI. It will get there eventually but it will take oil in the 30's for a while to eliminate a lot of North American production. The entire oil market has changed and sustainable WTI pricing in the 70's is a long way away.
