Sorry CEOSSS.

A person may find themselves in a loss position, but it does not become a loss until the person sells the stock. If you require clarification then I suggest you phone Revenue Canada.

What happens when the stock jumps back above a persons ACB. What do you have now. According to you you had a loss, realized or not. Do you tell Revenue Canada hey this was a loss for the last 10 months. I shouldn't have to pay tax now that I sold above my ACB.

Doesn't work that way. Get it.
