What are the chances of a Takeover?

There has been a number of recent buyouts of Junior Oil producers...it would seem this stock would be a prime takeover candidate at these prices. I might assume the dividend payments, would lessen the chances of a takeover and know that Mgt. can put other safeguards in place. I have not been on this board long and have not seen a discussion on this, but I have a nice postion that I obtained prior to the recent increase and I would hope to be able to let this ride without some large company snapping it up. Why wouldn't Shell or some other major already in the area try a takeover? Here is another article today, that prompted this post.
