Positive and Negative

Positive and Negative

Positive:

Ongoing plans with Shell for new pipeline delivery options

Increased production

Increased prices for Brent so far this quarter over 2nd Quarter

Negative:

Surprise pipeline loss of 18%

Positives outweigh the negatives by a wide margin for me. It's Nigeria, not Alberta, negative surprises are bound to happen, and this is a company that has navigated its way through the countries byzantine and sometimes anarchic problems before.

Far as I'm concerned as a new investor, this is far from disasterous news. It's annoying news. If 18% is consistent and ongoing, and things fall through on a new pipeline option, that's where there would be bad news. If July's loss of 10% versus 18% holds and the new pipeline option with Shell takes place, this will just be a quickly forgotten blip on the radar.
