OER Deal Helps MMT

OER Deal Helps MMT

The OER acquisition of ConocoPhillips Nigerian assets can only help MMT since they are an indigenous company with excellent community relations (due to their parent co which has approx 550 gas stations all over the country and is a big employer) and their presence should help security.

Also, as their clout increases they can bring more pressure to bear on getting the pipeline built since they are now even bigger partners with Agip/Eni and face the same issues in OML 56.

Some on this board might even start to realize that owning both MMT and OER diversifies their positions in a highly attractive part of the oil patch, albeit one which has significant challenges, especially for foreigners without really strong local partners.
