not defending Wade but.....

not defending Wade but.....I'm not here saying I support Wade but I'm also not crucifying him either for his seemingly inaccurate predictions. The lastest being the pipeline delays according to Midwestern article.Firstly,I would love it if it up and running already like everyone else.I too am tired of waiting. But guess what?Things take time.I can tell you from first hand experience for about 25 yrs that most construction jobs are either over time or over budget.Usually both. That is the reality of it.Being in Nigeria probably makes it worse but who knows, with all the red tape here it could in fact be worse here. And by no means is this just a construction phenomenon. How many of you work in business where things unfold exactly how you thought it would? If you do,you are one lucky MF because it ain't the norm.My plans usually get derailed about an hr after I make them.Am I a screw up?Maybe, but I am not unusual.I ask a lot of questions to other business owners in various fields and it's the same throughout. We usually underestimate how long things will take.Usually by a big margin.I ask guys how they estimate these big jobs and the usual reply is "I guessed !!!!! ".Unless you've done this exact job before, like manufacturring or something,it's gonna be a guess to a large degree. Can any of you accurately predict how long it will take to do something for the first time?I would hope these guys have laid pipe :) before but never in that exact location. Those communities. That terrain. There are so many variables involved and any one of them can derail you.Sometimes just forgetting to order one small part can delay a whole project for weeks or months if it's hard to get. I could go on for hours about this but if you think about it,I'm sure you'll agree. As for the PR.People don't want to hear worst case scenarios. You'll never get a job if you tell them the worst as your competitors will be telling them the best. And the'll usually be wrong. You make your plan and to quote Clint Eastwood- you improvise, adapt and overcome.

If you don't like the waiting,THEN SELL!!!!! like Zeus just claims to have done.Good riddens and good luck in finding another company that delivers on time every time.
