Divy Dates

The January 8 divy was announced 43 days prior on November 26, 2012. Jan 8 was the second Tuesday of the month. If we are looking at the next divy being the same as the January divy it should be payable April 9, 2013 which is only 33 days away. The cutoff for the Jan divy was 18 calendar days (Dec 21) to be an owner of record. 18 days prior to April 9 would be Mar 21.

We gotta hear something soon!!

Well I will be surprized if there is a divi with last quarter very low revenue. Sometimes I think they are paying it to pay themselves, meaning the large company shareholders. Could be wrong but it is a good way to do it. Imo>

Oh without a doubt, dividends are one of the best ways to pay out cash to insiders.  If you give options, free shares or increased salaries it is public knowledge and it never helps the share price.  However, the market is usually very forgiving if you distribute some cash to everyone. That and dividends are a lot less taxable than other benefits insiders might get.
