Dividend
A great deal of discusion about this on both boards. Here is something to think about. There is only one reason a dividend will not be paid for this quarter and that is, we have a piece of a new field and will need those funds to help pay for it. I my opinion, that is very positive. Either way, divy or no divy it's all good news. The recent N.R. was one of the best we have had in a long time and from now on I see them continuing in that vein. GLTAL

But didn't you tell the other board that you sold all your shares? So if you are expecting win-win news is pending - why did you sell?

I don't belong to the other board and I have never sold one share of Mart. I have owned Mart since 2008 and have only increased my position since then. I think you may have mistaken me for Samung/JD43XL/Zuess55. Cheers! suki

No worries! I think we need to consider one more reason for the delay in the divy announcement and that would be that Mart is waiting for news on their bid and don't want to commit to the divy until they know whether or not they have won one. IMO. suki

That could be true.....but..... aren't they running out of time to announce in time to set ex-div and pay date for the quarter? Who knows what the time frame is for awarding of any field(s)???

I don't think they need to announce a dividend by a certain time for a quarter as long as they provide enough time between the announcement and the ex-date. Can anyone shed some light on this?
