Mega Bloks is adding to its popular range of Skylanders Giants products this autumn.
And European marketing manager Peter Fuller believes the additions will again see the partnership prove to be fruitful.
“The Mega Bloks Skylanders Giants has been a very exciting addition to our range,” Fuller told ToyNews.
“As a magical block expression inspired by the hugely popular video game, we have given parents and children the opportunity to engage with the Skylanders brand in a new, exciting and educational play pattern.”
Alongside being a hugely popular and collectible brand, Fuller feels the low price point of the range has helped it fly off the shelves.
“The low price points in our Mega Bloks Skylanders Giants construction range are selling really well, in particular our Battle Portals and Hero Packs. The role-play category is also performing very well.”
The blend of a much loved licence with a popular play format has led Mega Bloks to feel confident that its new range will continue to deliver strong sales.
Fuller added: “With Skylanders in the top five new properties year to date (NPD, 2013) our range brings together the hottest boys property with one of the hottest areas of the toy industry – construction.”
Autumn/winter will see an expansion of the Mega Bloks Skylanders Giants building range with new characters, vehicles and locations.
In October, Mega Bloks will launch Skylanders Swap Force lines, while its Skylanders puzzles and role-play products will also be refreshed.
