RE: HUGE POTENTIALI'am not sure about most areas in the world, but in my part of Canada, the electric utility has applied (to the regulator) for a power rate increase of 12 - 13%, (effective in 09', I believe). And, since this rate increase application, the price of thermal coal has rebounded to a new all time high, see link below:

Also in the same area of Canada, they are adding more wind turbines, which may raise stability concerns of the grid. Time will tell, but this could be a zero or a very large gain.
