JOB SUMMARY

Ressources Metanor is currently recruiting candidates to take on the position of Chief Geologist at the Barry Mine site, located 108 km east of Lebel sur Quvillon.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the project manager, the main duties of the candidate will be:

Plan, direct, control and supervise a team of geologists in all aspects related to geology in mining operations. Act at all times as a coach;
Establish, monitor and supervise the different protocols related to content control such as sampling methods, quality control programs, management, data transfer, etc .;
Produce and write periodic reports;
Prepare, submit and control the budget of the Department of Geology.

The work schedule for this permanent position is 40 hours per week over 4 days (Monday to Thursday). Room & Board on mine site located at 108 km from Lebel-sur-Quvillon.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering;
Be a member of the Ordre des Gologues du Qubec or the Ordre des Ingnieurs du Qubec;
Minimum 12 years experience in underground mining including at least 3 years as a geologist;
Proficiency in Office software, Autocad, Promine, Geotic
