Been There Did That...

From the "news" posted by Chicken Little... "Metanor could, with a minimal investment, increase the mill capacity to treat ore from another mine site." They tried this what 5 years ago and it was woefully unprofitable shipping 1 g/t "ore" 100km to Bachelor ergo they ceased doing this... too funny this is "news" in 2015 in a bear market for gold which is by all signs going to go on or years more as per all historic gold bear markets.

Maybe that was referring to the mines next door owned by the other two companies. T

MTO has a mill , the only one surrounded by known gold owned by them and other claims ....Not very difficult conceptually conceiving increasing mill feed from close by .....MTO working in Cdn currency and selling in US currency is an offset of the lower POG

True but that is not what the news alluded to.... alluded increasing its capacity to include Barry. They would need to spend about $20 million roughly AT Barry to make it remotely worth while as the head grade at Barry is too low... they already tried shipping un-concentrated rock to Bachelor from Barry

witsguy Are you here to amuse the board? Wit is a form of intelligent humour, the ability to say or write things that are clever and usually funny. A wit is a person skilled at making clever and funny remarks.

No mais merci pour les mots doux! I am just writing about the obvious that MTO tried in the past with Barry... basically it will take a significant investment to build a concentrator at Barry to make shipping rock grading around 1 g/t (as per the technical report on the project done in 2010) to Barry profitable. They already tried this without a concentrator and the shipping costs of 100km to ...more

wits Yes, you are amusing - and you take this opportunity to make your point again. If you tell a story often enough, maybe someone will believe you. Just like another poster here. Makes me think you work together.

Here's an unique idea.  No capital investment or partnerships required. Fill the mill to capacity with Bachelor ore. Oh how silly, it's obviously better to obviate that option and speculate about what others will do, then you don't actually have to do anyhing except crow about adding capacity to a mill that has never been run at capacity.  Or announce drilling in the future ...more

Call the company and verify the fact with its chief geologist... all the best. You obviously only recently started following MTO and didn't follow it in 2010 when they were mining at Barry and shipping rock to Bachelor 100km away I presume

If Temex doesn't go as part of the New Oban merger......Metanor will be on the Shopping list in short order.   They are entering the Barry Distrcit afterall.
