It's the middle of January, and Edmonton is issuing air pollution warnings. When we used to drive home from Calgary, even 15 years ago, you'd often see a pulsing green cloud above the city.
I'm no saint, and I have shares in this company, which is clearly has negative environmental impacts and no tangible benefits for the world, but surely the mentality we need to have actually *is* go green at all costs. To be clear, I'm not saying I'm sold on EVs, though. A much, much more efficient first step would be eliminating recreational air travel.
The compaints here signal the problem: most people see the need to do something, but they only want done what doesn't cause them any pain, economic or otherwise.
