NICKEL ( is found in magnesium species )

NICKEL ( is found in magnesium species ) Here i thought - not testing Heino for cobalt and zinc was - beyond odd. ( lol )

But.. when it comes to the - Driftwood - the assay reports never tested for, zinc, cobalt, and...
NICKEL.

Nickel is known to run in - magnesium ores.

SCROLL THIS LIST -
Find Nickel - there are 28 species of rock that contain - magnesium and nickel.
https://www.mindat.org/element/Magnesium

CLICKED THE NICKEL LINK -
It shows 10 magnesium + nickel blends.

ARE THERE OTHER JUNIORS FINDING NICKEL IN - MAGNESIUM ?
There sure is....

Green River Gold - confirms - .188% nickel + 20.30 % magnesium.

Inomin's inaugural drilling program hit significant mineralization in all drill holes including 252.1 metres grading 20.6% magnesium, 0.16% nickel, and 0.33% chromium. All holes ended in mineralization leaving the discoveries open to expansion in all directions.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sounds like,  Inomin's former owner who assayed didn't find the - nickel.
Inomin comes along and  - reassays -
What process did they use to detect - nickel in the magnesium ?

Laboratory Analysis of Samples

Although the 2014 drill program and results were not completed by Inomin, L. John Peters, P.Geo., a qualified person as defined by NI43-101, was the QP and supervisor for the 2014 drilling completed on Beaver by the previous operator.

Analytical processing of the core samples for the reported grades from 2014 drill core was completed by ALS Laboratory located at 2103 Dollarton Hwy, North Vancouver, BC. Preparation methods (ALS code: SCR-41) involved drying and crushing the sample, then dry-sieving using a 180 micron (Tyler 80 mesh) screen. Analyses (ALS code: Ni-ICP05) was chosen for the selective decomposition of nickel sulphide to discriminate the nickel between the sulphides and the silicates. A solution mixture of 10% ammonium citrate and 35% hydrogen peroxide was used to leach the samples. Hydrogen peroxide, a strong oxidizing agent, oxidizes Ni sulphide to sulphate and releases Ni sulphide into the solution. Nickel in oxide and metallic forms are not leached if the leach time does not exceed a few hours at ambient temperature. Total digestion time was 2 hours. Final analysis was completed using Inductively Coupled Plasma - Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES).

Another reesearch paper i came across - mentions something quite interesting -

When we speak about - computer chips - most often think of... silicon.

If you've kept up on the news....
There's a huge - computer chip shortage -  even for vehicles.
USA + CHINA... at odds.

So.... i thought this article from - 2009 - was beyond interesting...
Like amazing.

Nanostructured Nickel Magnesium Oxide Will Enable One Terabyte Computer Chip and 80 mpg Cars

engineers made their breakthrough using the process of selective doping, in which an impurity is added to a material that changes its properties. The process also shows promise for boosting vehicles’ fuel economy and reducing heat produced by semiconductors, a potentially important development for more efficient energy production.

Working at the nanometer level — a pinhead has a diameter of 1 million nanometers — the engineers added metal nickel to magnesium oxide, a ceramic. The resulting material contained clusters of nickel atoms no bigger than 10 square nanometers, a 90 percent size reduction compared to today’s techniques and an advancement that could boost computer storage capacity.

“Instead of making a chip that stores 20 gigabytes, you have one that can handle one terabyte, or 50 times more data,” Narayan says.

By introducing metallic properties into ceramics, Narayan says engineers could develop a new generation of ceramic engines able to withstand twice the temperatures of normal engines and achieve fuel economy of 80 miles per gallon.

- Heino - check the pinks + purple for zinc and cobalt.
- Driftwood - purple shales + reassay the magnesium looking for Nickel -

Will the junior do it ?
If they were heavily on the support side of shareholders - they would.
It only strengthens the projects - all the more.

Cheers.....
