DRIFTWOOD PART 2

DRIFTWOOD PART 2 In a Mt Nelson report authored by, Pope,
the strata lenses are expressed not only in minerology, but also - colors.

There are - purple,  red, white,  brown,  pink, black, grey, light brown, yellow,  orange, apple green

If.... Dritwood deposit is considered an extenstion of Mt Nelson, or Purcell Group geology,
then... there's a high chance of Driftwood having the same strata lenses.

On google maps, one can see a distinct - purple banding - on the south side of the Driftwood
depoist - open face cliff. Which in a way, suggests there's a simularity to that of Mt Nelson with it's purple shale strata.

In other reports,
Cariboo region of B.C. - which is also compared to the Purcell Super Group,
Here is where other peers are finding success in discovering - NICKEL  amongst dolomites.

 Excerpt - 2001 - Klewchuck - MG  near - Driftwood

Page - 9 -
General I\lature of the Uagnesite The lens of Eastern hlagnesite is elongate to oval in plan, about 345 meters long and up to 120 meters wide, averaging close to 100 meters wide (Fig.4). Freshly broken magnesite is typically a milky white color but weathers to a pale yellow to slightly pinkish color.

Exposures of magnesite are commonly coated with a black lichen which appears to locallv favor this rock type. The host dolomite to the south is a much darker buff to reddish-brown while the (silty and cherty) dolomite to the north of the thicker magnesite is a medium gray color.

Page - 35, 36 - 2016 - Driftwood Report -
The middle " Quartzite "  is characterized by apple green color.

By guaging the diagram on page 35 it would appear this - green coloration quartzite with argillites
would range - 50m in thickness.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Both reports,
provide the theory of, hydrothermal alteration to explain away the, deposit.

Yet... if one were to fashion the deposit with most logical format,
It might... go as follows.

Land was once flat...
Coral reef ( Calcium sediments from ocean creatures )
Salt presence with a host of other ocean mineral influence.

Intrusion of incoming minerals from north
melding with the coral calcium reef
REPLACEMENT DEPOIST OCCURS

Presence of, sodium chloride -
Chloride + Water + Calcium + MAGNESIUM  and... many other minerals
CHLORIDES + CARBONS =  being the chief catalyst to form conversions

Example - magnesium chloride + carbon = swap occurs = magnesium carbonate
Such would happen to other minerals - chloride being the catalyst of original conversion and then mixing with a carbon swap.

If at all accurate -
Other minerals would have / could have transitioned to carbonates as well.

Which brings into question -
Purple shales and dolomites
Purple shales ( primary ) meets chloride then, converts to carbonate fusion.
= PURPLE DOLOMITES

It would mean... each color  " could very well " represent another mineral.

There are many colors in the Mt Nelson strata lenses.
And if...Driftwood has the same geology, it would mean.... the apple green strata could
most likely be found by way of - utilizing the Mt Nelson sequences and honsing in on the very same strata.

Purple strata is mention in 2016 Driftwood report at - surface.
And.. purple shales ( own opinion ) can be visually seen on open south face side of Driftwood.
Such suggests - an overlay, or folding occured - repeating sequence of overlapped sediments.
Booking occured.

If nickel was reported in the 2001 assay - report.
If much of the impurities were removed prior to bulk testing.
If Mt Nelson is same as Driftwood geology
If nickel is found in dolomites -  just north of Driftwood
If nickel is found in the cariboo region farher north ,but cariboo is similar to spuer group geology
If  nckel is also closely related to - cobalt and - magnesium, aluminum.

Then i would say....
I would be very pleased if the junior,

Performed more assaying, specifically on,

dolomite zones - all because, there are far more mineral cinstituents in dolomites than a purer magnesite deposit. Higher odds of seeing a variety of minerals .

Nickel in a carbonate form = GREEN.
But,  zinc is also green in carbonate.

Cobalt - turns purple pink in a carbonate conversion resulting in = Cobaltoan.
So does - zinc.

It gets even more complex when...
Magnesium forms multi bonds with nickel - as seen in - formulas below -
Whichbrings into question - type of assaying - to distinguish one from another
Not wanting a more pronounced mineral to dominate and steal the show.
EX - magnesium 40% + hidden Nickel bond 2%
Lab runs with the dominate mineral structure  - equipt not able to ditinguish a bond.

Cheers...
