The thing is, with so many stocks out there, people are not going to to their DD, they will just look at a chart and say "buy" or "sell". And that is what you are up against. Long term, yes, this information means ML is ok. Short term, no one gives a damn that ML has hedged for the next 5 years. Its just more reason to go all-in at the appropriate price.

Regarding the Moly exposure. I remember at the start of the financial crisis there were a few people recommending Moly stocks as Moly was still relatively high compared to all other base metals that plummeted. Then one day Moly was $8 and there went that theory, along with MOL and GMO's prices. Moly isn't as liquid as the other base metals, it is just as volatile IMO.
