RE: Egomaniac

RE: Egomaniac Steelguy. I receive several of these esteemed gentlemens junk letters in the mail every day. Their comments are always the same. "Come see how I singlehandedly defeated the stockmarkets and squeezed a 50,000 % gain in only 3 short months. Send me hundreds of your hard earned $$$$ and I will show you how you too can obtain such fabulous wealth." My question is. If these gentlemen are so fabulously wealthy why then do they feel the need to charge me for their knowledge? LOL. The truth is that with the advent of the internet and as the retail investor gains more and more confidence in taking control of his/her investments they no longer require the handholding of all these groovy market GURUS. Their monthly news letters are becoming totally irrelevant. Why pay when you can get it for free on the NET. Even the OSC and SEC are getting on side by demanding that companies not divulge market moving information to their pals before the retail investor. You would think that with the advent of email that the subscription rates would be dropping. Not much. If any. I guess it costs alot for those email stamps and envelopes. I follow many of these boards and enjoy them all. Bashers, smashers, dashers, bumpers and humpers. I read them all. (I love that ignore button) Egomaniac? I don't think so. Survival is a powerful driving force. All these guys are fighting for survival. The internet leveled the playing field and what you see now are the remnants of a once fairly powerful and influencial group of market movers moving ever closer to extinction. Like I said before. If the OSC and SEC forbid the disemination of market moving info to insiders like our friend, what advantage is there to buying their newsletters. Is their info really any better than the dozens of eyes we have scouring the net everyday for tidbits of info which is shared freely with our fellow posters? Yes some is bogus but then again the old pros are not long in pointing the spammers and bashers out. DD, That's what it is all about. Give me a chat line anyday. It's easier on the environment too. NO WASTED PAPER! NO DEAD TREES! LOL. Regards GRIFF
