Los Azules

There is no question that this is the jewel in the Crown .The two big problems in realizing its value is ;1) Mux doesn't have the money to develop it having barely avoided bankruptcy ;2) its in Argentina with significant political risk ,so how to find a jv partner or a buyout to risk billions of dollars over multiple years  to develop it in Argentina which is going broke again for the 10th time in the last 100 yrs .There is a reason for the song"don't cry for me Argentina".

1) The answer to the first question is a JV (50/50, 40/60 or 30/70). Then McEwen should raise some money and take some debt. Something similar to what Josemaria resources and Filo Mining are doing. If they take a lower interest, then McEwen Mining will get more money and will need to add less money to the project. or maybe , sell it for cash and a retained net smelter percent , that way no need to raise money and dillute shareholdes for a multi year wait for a pay off .

I like that idea a lot. It puts the cash (much needed) to Mux, and puts the (massive) responsibility of mine development in a remote location onto someone else. And now is the time when one of the majors might go for it.
