RE:A Revolt In The Making? As the saying goes,"Maybe too little to late."
TATA Steel has successfully outmaneuvered NML in any way possible with the deals that were signed between them. Therefore, if a new board of directors were elected they would still be bound by deals signed with TATA Steel. Moreover, if those deals were to be contested by NML it could be very costly for NML. It would be like a battle between David and Goliath, but NML does not have necessarily the ressources to wage a battle. NML is in a situation,"Damn if you do and damn if you don't."
Personally, I never viewed favorably TATA Steel having a nose in the affairs of NML. It's like the saying goes,"They had an inside field advantage". Especially when negotiating the deals between them. Moreover, TATA Steel could of had a great deal of influence on the decision making process at NML over the years since the partnership began. Look what it got NML into, in the process.
All in my opinion.
