Economics 101I've seen a few posts from people railing about costs to the government if they make a huge purchase. Consider this:
Even if the governments in Canada commit to six months of supply it would be 120,000 units x $15,000/unit (it will be less for large orders) = $1.8 billion.
That's a lot of money, isn't it?
Or is it?
How much money/productivity would be lost if we had to shut down schools, air travel, or entire segements of the economy? How much money/productivity is being lost if parents have to home school their kids through this year?
A LOT more than $1.8 billion
You have to consider costs from both sides. If you don't, you're not a proponent of free markets.
