But, it might give any potential new shorts something to consider, and may make them a little more hesitant to increase their position. If BioCloud sales start to take off, that cash flow could be used to support the share price, and the shorts will be aware of that.

But don't expect KNR to buy so many shares that they push the share price to $10.
And some have suggested that the NCIB would be used to boost the share price to a level where we could qualify for the NASDAQ. That is unlikely, as we don't have the cash for that, yet.

So the NCIB is not a big deal right now.

But, the mention of BioCloud in the Ontario budget is a big deal. That shows that the government is very aware of BioCloud on mutiple levels, and it does fit in with their battle with Covid. This puts a whole new light on the $2 million investment they made in BioCloud, and highlights how important it is for KNR to meet the "milestones" laid out in that agreement. I am getting the feeling that KNR must be pulling out all the stops to get there, collect the 2nd installment, and prove to everyone that BioCloud is finally getting traction.

There has been a lot of speculation that KNR would announce a supply contract with the Ontario government when they put out the news release about the $2 million completion. With today's budget hint, I am starting to wonder if that may happen, maybe not the same day, but shortly thereafter.

Sometimes the largest messed up puzzle just needs one piece to make all the other pieces fall into place. I am not one to jump to hasty conclusions, but this budget 'puzzle piece' looks fairly critical to me.

I am encouraged.

I'm sure we all hope the budget mention is an indicator of a big contract.  It's worth noting though that the budget mentions a few other companies in the same section.  It could be that the government is touting itself and its efforts to spur the economy more than it is the actual companies.  It wouldn't be the first government to shine the brightest light on itself.  In fact they all do that.
