RE:Guidance

RE:Guidance"We need a little sizzle or this steak is gonna fizzle"     fo' shizzle Cornelius, fo' shizzle!   So here is what is going on - they developed a g-damned coronavirus detector and can't prove it, sell it or give it away to make a dent in the public consciousness enough to drive the value of the company enough to overcome inertia. And with a capacity to produce so many they could be everywhere before the end of the year. And this is all we can achieve still? Where do you place that blame?

What do I mean... ? Let me tell you: Yesterday I finally broke down and put the question directly to the guy leading DARPA's quest for an airborne virus detector to combat corona virus. Yes, it can be easily done, the contact info is there for the world. So I asked him directly what about this- you know what he said? He said they knew about it but  "we did not find any approaches where there was sufficient data supporting performance claims. This is why we are pursuing solutions that are backed by formal test and evaluation of the technical approaches being pursued."  Fair enough.

So I replied, well surely given your quest you could acquire one and put it through the ringer, right? Surely Canadian origin isn't going to stop you right? We are all in this together. You know what he said? He siad this "   I understand your frustration, but unfortunately test and evaluation of commercial technology is not in DARPA’s wheelhouse.   We do transformative research".

No secrets here - I asked, he answered. Given it is a US agency the correspondence is public record. And it is still not definitive.

Transformative research. vs.commercial technology....We are the commercial technology team. We have the football and keep getting into the zone and then being stood up by a defensive line of doubt and lack of cooperation from those who aren't poised to gain financially. PG is calling the plays.

Meanwhile DARPA continues to "pursues transformative research" like it hasn't already been done. I'm not one saying Kontrol is bluffing... I invested becuase I researched the possibilities, saw the work already being done all over the world, considered their approach and the evidence they have provided to date and I said "yeah, could be...". How in the hell are we still here where there is lingering doubt? Who is responsible for this abject failure to maximize the production, distribution and impact of these devices to protect the public health? The adequate explanation still evades me.

So, me bieng in the US I am in no position to cut through the BS with a Canadian agency like I have here so I will leave that to you. Sometimes its just a matter of phrasing the question. I was surprised to learn that my tax dollars are going to try to solve a problem that someone in Canada has already solved. More surprised to see that the company in Canada that solved the problem doesn't seem to know what to do with the solution and that the governmment of Canada is not neck deep in producing and distributing this. This is very difficult to come to terms with. It leaves me to the conclusion that Ghezzi, Kontrol, and the Canadian Government owe all of you a big fat explanation now, not soon.

Kudos to everyone who keeps asking unsolicited questions. Kontrol needs to put up or shut up. This is infuriating. Lets vist the "invisible enemy" metaphor. War footing required then, right? And we invest in a company with secret bullets and all the soldiers guns remain empty? Again, no adequate explanation.

Skipping regulatory approval as a medical device may not have been the way to go. Now that the patents are pending it might behoove Kontrol to share and get the buy in (see what I did there) they need for their airborne virus detector to be more than an almost. We literally have scientists actively working to develop airborne virus detectors and Kontrol has one but nobody cares it seems. explain this PG - do a pr campaign focusing on what your product can do. As I type this I realize how troubling it is that I could mention the name Elon Musk, or Jeff Bezos or Tim Cook or any CEO that isn't running a company that has developed a corona virus detector and everyone would know them. Because they are huge. What about that company that invented and patented a corona virus detector in the middle of a pandemic...?   Who?

And yeah, I'm still available to work on the marketing team. :)
