Companies with "killer" products in a category see declining inventory on their balance sheet and expanding gross margins.
Take a look at the last couple of quarters. Every dollar of sales is costing more to sell as margins thin and inventory is building. That puts pressure on future margins.
Lastly, look at how much Tesla options with three year expiry cost that is only 10% above the strike price. You got it, it is more than half the price of the stock. Do the math and you will realize how expensive that last equity raise was.
And how much these sales at lower margins will require further dilution to finance.
Never buy stock in a company that needs to issue shares to stay in business. Way too risky.
