“New variant” testing

I am hoping to hear an announcement regarding the Bioclouds' ability to detect the new variant of the virus. Hopefully the current detection chamber will be able to detect the virus. Otherwise, the adaptation to allow simultaneous detection of more than one virus would likely be required for sales to progress...failing that, prospective clients would suddenly need to buy two units, with the possibility that more variants are on the way...and then need more units which would be an obvious deterrent. Point well taken. It is my understanding that this virus, among the many other virsus does mutate quite often. On July 6, 2020 the Daily podcast covered this. Research has shown that viruses (including covid-19) mutates at least every 2 weeks. This is why it was very risky for anyone other than Donald Trump to come out and say that heard immunity was the answer. International travel allows

Its all Sar-Cov2, so I believe these variants will be detected. Right now there is about 6 different variants and much more to come. I do not believe Detection will be affected but I am not a scientist. We dont even know if those variants are here in our labs for testing.
