Kontrol Technologies Corp > Rapid testing vs Biocloud?!

Rapid testing vs Biocloud?!

Now they are talking about rapid testing all visitors and staff at LTC homes from now on in Ontario.

Imagine the costs involved for that, over having a biocloud installed or two.  Up front its biocloud, over time it is the tests that will be way more $$$.

Way more tests than need to be done.  Just random and willy nilly instead of only when necessary and Biocloud also tells you the space is safe or not regardless, for further peace of mind.

I mean, are you kidding me?  Its no choice.  Both intelligence wise and money wise, Biocloud is the better option.

I mentioned this to a medical friend and we talked about Biocloud and I said it was crazy it wasnt getting recognition on the news.  His answer was stark.  "If you think they (the news) are going to go out of their way to talk about something that would take away from pharma profits, you are crazy.  Who do you think benefits from rapid testing?  The pharma companies.  And the big pharma control everything, including yes, what they want to have said on the news re covid.  Biocloud is a threat to them.  Until Biocloud starts getting used places -- and are seen working and do what they do -- they wont likely get noticed by news.  Not at least until they have to."

Makes you think doesnt it?  I never thought of that.

This shows the kind of things a great idea can be up against that you arent even aware of.

(And btw he thought Biocloud was a great invention and needs to get used.)

That is a little bit too categorical of an answer. We were already covered by local news earlier. And BioCloud is not a direct competitor to individual testing and vaccinations. There are tons of companies working on various things out there and the news is only so long. KNR would probably have to pay some serious coin to a PR firm to try to get us on some non-Canadian news. Global is already ...more

Hi, I have indirectly tried to answer this question a few days ago in speaking to the secondary or newly evolving primary use of biocloiud. Since that post, the updated datasheet re: low viral detection threshold of 50 vp reinforces this and explains the 99% accuracy claims put fourth by the company. I am dm'ing ceo of sick kids, uhn, etc. See the quote below: RE:RE:RE:RE:Film Industry  ...more

I'm sorry to be stark like your friend but you have heard that here time and time again. There are forces at play that don't want to open their arms and welcome a good thing if it doesn't make them money. You are correct that testing individuals is an expensive endeavor, and not as effective as Biocloud when it comes to prevention. It is necessary to track the spread but simply not ...more

Merely pointing out a view point from someone actually in the medical field.  Thought it was interesting. (and yeah, you are starting to act like the certain someone everyone abhors on here :P with the need to nitpick others posts, a lot lately ....)

I know Friesen was much reviled. I have come to understand it is because he often took a superior tone.He has good points and bad just like the guy suspected of being him under a new name (for the record who cares, its a darn game where each post is a click and a click is money and nothing said here matters for the most part) I busted my nuts trying not to be a jerk but some of the posts here make ...more
