Just my opinion

Just my opinionI would like to think that maple leaf has now choosen the path of least resistance to aquiring canadian licensing and the quickest route to production. If in fact we are still talking about the same land parcel in telkwa that woodmere owns. Building a new facility would likely allow them to better control growing in the climate in which they have choosen to grow in. It is the farthest thing from the best green house conditions. We get winter 6 months of the year and most of the current buildings are similar to the ones in california. There are a few hard sided buildings on site but they are not very big, so even if they expidited the license process and started growing in the current facilities, an upgrade to the process would eventually have to happen for future expansion, so why not right now and show that this company is for real.
The political uncertainty in the US probably has them wondering which direction the MJ industry is actually going to go and the future possibility of trading with china may be easier out of canada rather than the states. Legalization in canada looks like it may be delayed also but when it happens it will be legalized on a federal level as opposed to individual provinces.
Regardless the license in canada will be super important to have. If the consulting firm they have hired has advised to build new then that is likely the best direction to go in my opinion or why hire them in the first place.
As far as Nevada is concerned i see they are allocating some money towards the land purchase but im a little confused as to the statement " no funds from this private placement will be used to aquire any cultivation or production permit in Nevada, without all required regulatory and / or shareholder approvals". What does this mean? Do we have other funds for that or are we just not going to aquire a permit in nevada now? I was under the impression that the permit could be transfered with the land purchase. So why would we not secure that?
If the stock price continues to drop as it is then i guess for the longs out there we have a great position to get additional shares in the portfolio. Just my thoughts GLTA
