Copper
If one does not know that copper is on a role, then they are not paying attention.
NEM management is talking a big game in regards to copper production. If its true, they should be playing it up.
Freeport stock is flying.
A liitle research has told me that Freeports' production is in the billions of pounds while NEMs is in the low hundreds of millions.
NEM does have a lot of copper in the ground however.
I don't know to what extent in situ copper affects the stock price, but if the Newcrest properties don't add significantly to the production numbers, then I doubt copper will add much value to Newmonts market cap.
