Kim Parlee and Hugh Cleland

Kim Parlee and Hugh ClelandFirst, Kim Parlee is a fill in host on Market Call, and if she's hosted before, it's been very infrequent, so unlikely she would have dealt with Cleland on it before. It seems to be only very recent that the Market Call hosts mention when they own something, and I have no reason to think yet that it is a requirement. For example, Kim Parlee also mentioned (yesterday I think) that she owns Aurelian Gold. However, the disclosure makes some sense because the host's questions can colour the analyst's comments. I have no idea how good her investing record is, but her job at BNN involves watching the market every day and on her show with Andy Bell, she analyses a stock every day in reasonable depth (her underlying research must go well beyond what she has time to say). We do know that she has picked names like NTB and Aurelian out of large numbers of possible investments that she hears about and deals with in her work. Everyone can use that information as they wish.
