RE:A perfect match

RE:A perfect match

You are right. but it's not just Tesla. Other Gigafactories:

Tesla: 35GWh
LG Chem : 7GWh
BYD: 10 -34 GWh (ramping up until 2020 if demand holds)
Foxconn:15GWh
Boston Power 10GWh

Not to mention many other companies that make batteries but maybe not at such huge levels but it adds up (including Johnson Mathey that has already bought 90% of pilot plant production from NMX). Big companies like Enersys are starting to look at Li-Ion battery technology instead of lead acid etc. I'm just saying, Tesla is not the only one out there, it's just mr.popular right now but the demand will be there even if it up and vanishes. China alone has rediculous battery demand and it is only just starting to grow in US and Europe and dont forget Grid Energy!!! EVs are great, but grid energy is a huge industry in itsinfancy and the need for Lithium there will be more than EV from what I have seen from analysts (Lux research and others).

Also, Bourassa did maybe poo a little in Musks porridge. I remember there was some Q/A after one of his presentation where he was asked about Tesla and he sort of just brushed them off. I dont remember what presentation it was but it was discussed on this board a few months ago, maybe someone can link it.
