All is good even excellent

there is no turning back in quebec.
we will cut our dependance on oil.
hydro and the government are already too havily involved in this to leave it from public and privatecharging stations to offering the electricity to power all this.

nmx role is still debatable but it is the wish to wean quebec from oil and to offer plenty of charging stations and clean hydropower instead.
it will be profitable and desirable..

battery makers and carmakers will follow the flow.
where does nmx fit in i dont know but we will need lithium and lots of it.

Bismuth, you must be Elecriquesman under new name because old name already prooved how stupid you are... Do you know what Petro DOllar is? it is the USD...middle east oil traded in USD... Are you trying to say that money from East go to West? You are wrong, money from West go to East...we gave you money for years because Quebec is too lazy to actually work...your Liberal Socialist Gov. will ...more

Me too I like reddit Calgary why don't you read the facts(in comments) and go back to choking on gold cocks instead of attacking posters for no reason   Quebec is the 2nd most populous province.  Equalization is based on a formula that calculates the difference between the per capita revenue yield that a particular province would obtain using average tax rates and the ...more

just because there is a formula or not it doesn't mean I wasn't right saying money flow from AB to QC I didn't attack the very stupid fellow quebecer of yours for no reason...he has no ideea what petro dollar means and he is saying the money is flowing from QC to AB and he is wrong... the Formula needs to be changed QC is unfair to the rest of Canada... Alberta should learn from Quebec, Quebec pays about 9 billion$ to the equalisation program, if Quebec lowered taxes like Alberta it would pay even more to equalisation. Inversely, if Alberta taxed its citizens at the Quebec rate then Alberta would have a surplus and would have less money to pay out to the feds. Also Quebec paid for part of the transmountain pipeline as does all provinces. There is ...more

Joeman, AB believes that Governament should not decide how people should spend their money.... Making the TAX higher does not mean it goes into people's pockets, it goes into bailouts...AB doesn't need bailouts and handouts, they need to be left alone and let them work to make their own money and not being taxed to death... Quebec turned Socialist because of that, big TAX, big Gov. rulling ...more

Yes Alberta believes in user fees and to fund it's police force has very low speed limits, photo radar speed traps hidden on both sides of the road.  Alberta is the slowest province in Canada due to the low speed limits and photo radar cameras.  Just look at Texas, the state of Texas has an 6.25% sales tax, Alberta has 0%.  Yet higher tax rates hasn't stopped oil companies ...more

Joeman, its unbelievable looking from a clear side how a brainwashed side thinks... Brainwashed think that it's ok for people to pay in form of tax for other people that should get a ticket....we think that people that speed should get a ticket...if we want speed limits increased we should change the law not increase taxes...sometimes speed limits are set to keep drivers safe based on roads ...more

You're missing the point, Ontario raised speed limits to 110 kmh on several highways and freeways, meanwhile Albertas police force is nickle and diming citizens to death with petty traffic violations instead of dealing with real criminals.  Who's the brainwashed one here?  Every time I go to Alberta I'm amazed at how slow traffic is, yet the statistics on accidents are bad in ...more

Alberta has been great if you're a teacher, a doctor , a nurse or a public servant, making 30% more salary thanks to fossil fuel revenu windfalls, they have enough money to pay for photo radar tickets, and high automobile insurance rates.  Oilfield workers do well cyclically but are hurting now.  The oil profits are running dry so oilfield workers and oilcompanies are moving to the ...more
