I recently emailed Hugh with a number of questions. They are great about responding if you ever have a question.
Below is part of his response from March 8:
With regards to your question about the amount of wells we plan to drill this year, our current plans call for 30 - 35 wells to be drilled, cased and competed prior to year end.
You are quite correct we can drill up to 4 - 8 wells per section, we plan to drill up to 4 wells per section but we note that our competitors are reporting that they are drilling between 8 - 12 wells per section.
(Sounds like Hugh believes it's likely they'll get 8 - 12 wells per section. Double or triple the number used in their projections. Will make a huge difference to their production and bottom line.)
We are moving forward with an aggressive land acquisition program in our core area of Dodsland and will continue over the next quarter or so. We have a number of very strategic acquisitions we would like to consummate.
Once these are completed we will switch our emphasis to the drill bit with an aggressive drilling program. We are quite pleased with the amount of land that we have amassed thus far and plan to be one of the bigger junior companies present in the area.
