shareholder value

Call me skeptical but I remember when Nuttall first gabbed about this one and he got so excited he could hardly stay still on the BNN seat! All those sections and so many drill prospects...you knw, the usual stuff...like Legacy, like PRY, like all the ones Nuttall has traded and made profits in... Every time since then he has said it will be sold (I even rember a $1.60 price and that was many moons ago) so why would this sppecial commitee create any greater impetus. I'd love it to happen but if something is so good, why has it not been sold before...I think Nuttall even commented on that during one of his parlays..but I forget what he said as I had stopped listening to him by that time! I am long, and under water, so come on $1.60!!!!!

I spoke with Management a few months back and a couple of points: They had been contacted by ~ a dozen parties intrested in doing a deal. One thing that has just come to my attention is that we have $61.5 M or $0.325 per share of debit (as of Sept 30).  That will ...more

I would have liked to see Novus grow to a 7000 -8000 boepd company before it is sold but the market players today always want something happening " now " , no patience .  a good fit for Novus to buy out  could be Invicta Energy , it's small but could be a good fit .

I think management's MO is to get a good land package, develop it to >4,000 bpd, sell it, repeat. Gentry was sold at 4,500 bpd. I think their core shareholders are expecting a liquidity event. I think that management believes there is more value creation in going from 200 to 4,000 bpd than 4,000 to 8,000 bpd. The exception would be if market condition were really bad then they may continue ...more
