Actually, I miscalculated the amount of the equivalent

Actually, I miscalculated the amount of the equivalent
of the payment of $2/sh to our dividends. It is all irrelevant now and I'm correcting myself just for the accuracy sake. We got $0.16 US per annum, say, around $0.20CAD. In 2 years it's $0.40. But it was given to 200M shares, and $2 came to 48M shares. So, basically, it would take 10years of the same amount of the dividend to accumulate to $2CAD. I'm not complaining nor being jealous. I had an itch to sell some NSU and buy RMC but things like that one, late night show , may happen or may not , it would be more of a gambling and that's not a good idea in the stock market. We are not betting on football games here. We are betting, sure. But in a different way. If the deal won't go through RMC would've tanked and NSU, most likely would go up. If it went through we'd get what we have now, very predictable. I did unload some part of my shares but not much, 15-20%. Betted on the "NO" vote on the RMC side. LOL. I didn't miss the timing factor as it was noted in one post. For the retail investors, like us, there practically was no chance and time to change the vote. I even had a thought that they did it just to prevent the Chinese guys from getting access to the resource. If you can't change the votes cast already and there's no time to change them you announce that you are willing to pay $2bucks more and that would require those guys to upper their offer of $8 to match or at least compete. When you have 12.5M shares on hand bought at $9.40 and the deal doesn't go through you might want to unload them without losses. It's just a thought, you can hardly sell 20% of the stock in a short period between market open and voting results out. Most likely the intent was to satisfy someone with a bigger stake , who kept its vote till the meeting and who was capable of making a difference. Like offering a buffer for the definite sp depreciation after the transaction to a certain level. You get 2 shares valued at around $4CAD and $1 per each so if it falls to $3 you are safe but still are in the game with us and can reap the benefits if we do all right going forward. So, with all due respect to Mr.Meester and with the understanding that really each vote was important in this event, I think with that offer they were after some big fish , that would influence the voting results. You can't really be serious to think that throwing out extra $75M in addition to $0.001 in cash payment was intended to attract retail investors, most of whom were sleeping and didn't even see the release. Anyway, you guys are happy now (why wouldn't you?). Hopefully, we will benefit ,too. Don't take me wrong, I think if the Lundin was after your asset that means it has the value. The thing is the "better" is an enemy of the "good". NSU was good. By all means. Don't listen to some creepy guys that tell some stories about Nevsun and bad guys ruling Eritrea. Nevsun did a great job of making the life of locals better. Employing locals, following good standards, etc. I wasn't there, can't bet my hat on it. But from what I researched there's no evidence that NSU activities made things worse there, directly opposite. That sh@t about the region is just a "white noise" on your computer. Before the deal NSU was solid, very solid. No matter Eritrea . I had my shares in Endeavor mining, Lake Shore gold, Primero. None paid dividends.
