I just got off the phone with Scott Trebilcock....
I sent an email to Nevsun IR yesterday mentioning my concern. I just got a call from them. It was Scott Trebilcock. No lie. So I post that he should own more shares and the guy calls me 10 minutes later. I cannot make this up. He was quite pleasant and open with me. Took some notes. 1. He said that business is going on very well behind the scenes. 2. Black out period because of earnings so he could not say anything about the copper issue but things continue improving. 3. They are buying land at Timok. 4. Final candidates are chosen for CEO. Waiting on BOD for choice. 5. Institutions waiting on certainty of new CEO to commit new cash. 6. Analysts are totally underestimating the value of Timok. 7. Between now and Sept the news flow should get us back up performing more like our peers. 8. I asked about a possible bid for the company. He mentioned that they and the BOD are concerned and also mentioned the poison pill but not in those two words. I pressed him a bit asking if a party approached with a decent offer and he said "there can be aggressive offers that they must look at". If this ever happens it would be there job to "maximize the offer with competing offers". He reads this so Scott I really appreciate your call and forget my previous post stating that you should own more shares. Just kidding and it is none of my business but I think most here think it would be nice if you had more skin in the game. Again thanks for calling me and offering an open line if I had anymore questions..
