Mari-pubs?

Mari-pubs?

Lol. Every time I come here you guys fantasize about something new. Molson buying HIP, mari-pubs... HIP is not a 1st tier company. Not even 2nd tier. Molson would not even speak to somebody of that level. That's one. Secondly, Molson has enough money to just go give to HEXO to build any size of facility (if need be). Why would they buy HIP for that? Not to mention, a facility in Quebec is sure better than in Ontario (hydro and other costs).

Beverages are not part of the current legalization - additional legal framework coming in a year. Formulas are far from market ready as well. Which is why Corona, Molson, etc. are only starting to look into this now - enough runup time. So don't expect "mari-pubs" until the end of 2019 or more like 2020. That's two.

From now until then the cost per pound will keep sliding down. So I would really recommend Jay actually get his behind into gear on that extraction facility he's been talking about half a year. In a couple of years from now just growing the stuff you'll make a penny on a pound unless you do something with it and turn it into products + have retail.

Bottom line: Molson is not coming for HIP. Not now, not later. So HIP should hussle for their own distribution in Ontario and add that CO2 extraction built up ASAP to expand the product range.
