Weed Legal In Canada On Anniversary Of Gord Downie's Death

Weed Legal In Canada On Anniversary Of Gord Downie's Death

so I was doing a little research, and I fell upon why the legal marijuana date will be October 17 2018 I had no idea how close the PM was to Gord Downie and the band the tragically Hip...

i had not seen this video of our PM:
https://youtu.be/CuSskCcChDE

HIP is a brand, and branding is everything in North America, heck that’s why people buy Mercedes and BMW cars or why we buy “veuve clicquot” Champaign that costs more... it’s all about the branding... why pay more? because they can!! Up cannabis found the only loop hole. The members of the group the tragically hip are big stake holders from the get go! Jay Wilgar is a genius or a lucky SOB, either way UP cannabis will be Canadians brand because the story sells! I’m sure a strain from UP cannabis will be what Justin will be holding in this hand to relax on October 17 2018 ;) aswell as all us canadian that will celebrate this historical day!!

Prime minister Justin Trudeau chose the first anniversary of singer Gord Downie’s death to make marijuana legal for recreational use in Canada.

Trudeau announced on Wednesday that weed would be legal beginning Oct. 17 2018.

Trudeau attended The Tragically Hip’s final live show in Kingston, Ont. in August 2016 and tearfully paid tribute to Downie a day after he died last year.

Downie had been an advocate for marijuana use during his life. Shortly after announcing that he had terminal brain cancer, The Hip revealed a partnership with Newstrike, a licensed medical marijuana producer.
