Obviously Something I Don't Understand

First post, been following along for months and not overly active but I'm confused. Not sure what I'm missing but something doesn't make much sense and maybe someone would be kind enough to educate me. I put in three sell orders to test the waters. All at 12:32 EDT, one for 1000 shares at 0.15, one for 1000 shares at 0.155 and one for 1000 shares at 0.16 to test and watch. The last trade prior to my offers was at 12:28 EDT for 9000 shares at 0.16. The next trade after that was at 12:50 EDT for 20000 shares at 0.15 and the trades degrade from there. So how is it possible for all three of my trades to get bypassed when I was well within the window? Sorry if this seems like an idiotic question, maybe I've misunderstood how the basics of buying and selling work, or is there something else going on I'm not aware of? Thanks in advance for any insights.

Sorry for clarity this is all regarding V.HIP.W.A warrants. My bad.

Welcome to the Venture Exchange. The big boys can cross trade their shares with slips and bypass your order to manipulate the stock on this exchange. That's why to be a real player you need to be on the big boards. That's why it's important to be listed on the TSX and NYSE with HEXO as the this can't happen. Another reason HIP price has been manipulated over the past while by the ...more

Thank you for your responses, very much appreciated. I've been watching all the conversations regarding MM for months and observed many days where things just didn't add up. My little experiment and your feedback should make this a lot clearer to anyone watching. There really is no teacher like having someone pick your pocket. Cheers.

Ye sthere is oppourtunity for manipulation but they also do this on the ventue as it has alot of penny stocks and low volume.  For instance your orders of 1000 shares at .15.  This would change the price of the warrant or stock for only $150. imagine low volume mining stocks popping from .01 to .03 on $150 stick buys/sells only to trap someone dropping $5000 at 0.3 since it seems it ...more

Sorry for the typos - guess I need new keyboard batteries - anyway, you get the point.

Thanks again, I see the logic in what you're saying. I have observed smaller trades so figured this was a decent enough test. As an experiment I didn't want to use larger volumes to test the process. Further information which might be of interest to some and again some odd results. My two lower $ asks were filled in four partial lots of 500. Of these four lots only two seem to appear on ...more

always , always , always look at the share count and structure , plus float size with respect and correlation to volume . You will see some funny things happen and it's clear that it's market maker playing games . THEY will move the sp up or down according to what the market as a whole does , next proceed with what the sector does , then finally according to what the demand is for the ...more

these market makers will cross trade and fill orders on seperate exchanges . Some have priority over others and this is where greed starts

I can't tell you all how much I appreciate the education, this is invaluable. Enjoy your weekend and thanks!

Another reason that people need to understand that this merger will be a good thing. We need to get off the Venture Exchange and access to the big boards so that we can't be manipulated by a few players. This is how our price was manipulated to keep our SP down for this buy out. Once on the NYSE and TSX you won't run into this cross trade bull by the Market Makers.
